This is the first digital painting that I've done using a photo reference I took of a fellow teacher at my school, so I thank him for allowing me to use him as a photo reference. I've tried full portraits without any luck so I decided to take a few steps back and work on portions of the face first. I know this isn't great work but I'm happy enough from an armature's point of view to post this and get some useful feedback. At least it's a start in the right direction and a new form of art to add to what I've already learned (which isn't much) thus far.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
